If you have Moving Soon at home and you want to stay with the story a little longer, to give your child another way to work through the change, another opening for conversation, or simply something fun to do together because you have already packed away every toy that keeps them busy, here are a few coloring pages taken from the illustrations in the book.

And if you do not have the book yet, you are just as welcome to print them and enjoy them together.

Questions I get asked

What can we talk about while coloring?

You can talk about how the character in the picture is feeling. Look at the faces together and wonder out loud. There are no right or wrong answers here. There is a conversation.

Is this suitable for a child who still colors outside the lines?

These pages are here to give children another way to process and talk about the big change a family goes through when it moves. Coloring outside the lines is fine. So is a purple sky, or not coloring at all. There are no rules here.

Can I send these to a friend who is moving?

Of course. Print them as many times as you like and send them on to friends. And if you photograph a finished page and send me a copy, I would love that.

Four pages, free to download and print. Suited to roughly ages two to six, for coloring alone or together. They print on ordinary printer paper, nothing special needed.
